Hi, My Name is Quinn Murdy and telling stories has always been my passion…

Ever since I picked up my first camera in Fifth grade I have been infatuated by the video medium. The notion that I could tell a story how I wanted to tell it was very empowering and shaped who I was at a young age. This passion drove me to learn advanced editing and inspired my content making career. My love for the medium of video has always been a cornerstone of my life.

My love for nature brought me to Humboldt County as I enrolled at Humboldt State University. Going to college I planned on walking on the Humboldt State football team but was met with a roadblock. Unfortunately, I hurt my knee and playing college football was no longer a feasible option for me. Instead of soaking in self-pity I looked for a positive outlet to channel my inner creativity. On a spur of the moment decision I asked the coaches if I could help out with their video production and they welcomed me to do just that. Little did I know that this would one of the biggest turning points of my life. My dad shipped his small camera up to Humboldt and let me borrow it as I filmed and edited the home football games at Humboldt State. These videos went over extremely well with the team and I was subsequently hired on as a coach the next spring as head of video production and social media management.

My sophomore year at HSU proved fruitful as I traveled with the team and made a season long documentary series titled "Drive On." This series bridged the gap between the community and the football team in a time of uncertainty as the school was deciding whether or not to cut the program. The unification of community members and the football team shows the incredible power of quality video production. The series told the teams story and that resonated with the community to such an extent, community members pledged two and a half million dollars to keep the team for the next five years.

After seeing the power of my videos, I began to take my video production even more seriously. I started booking larger video projects. I worked with the likes of; Grammy nominated bands, companies from all over California, NFL athletes, major record labels, models, and hip-hop artists. Making videos is my passion, and I love sharing it with the world!
